To Reach The Green Light At The End Of The Pier
FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES: "We are saving ourselves through the words," says Eleanor, the leading lady of a novel-in-progress. This exploration into the creative process -- which includes plenty of distractions/tangents /thoughts & rants by Eleanor, her Biographer, and selected guest artists -- will continue until Eleanor is certain her story is "right." (But we dare not jump ahead of ourselves.)
There will be the occasional typo (as Eleanor points out), and much of this is intended to be "original draft" -- what comes out of our mouths (heads) first, and then set down in that order. Not all of it will be included in the novel, but all of it is happening in real time.

Allen Ginsberg:
"Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does."
-- Allen Ginsberg

"Allen Ginsberg gets me," Eleanor says. "He knew the honest-to-God truth and he made it happen and then he made it keep on happening, and that's even more amazing. And all of that -- well, that's what I aim to do."

I fully believe in both of you to be able to do just that!!
And the most beautiful thing about Ginsberg was that he wasn't afraid to say it...
during a time when his voice wasn't always popular and there was so much objection to him...he shouted it from the rooftops..with a megaphone. No fear. Eleanor has no fear...she could be the movement of the era you know....
"What would we call my era?" Eleanor asks. She likes the idea, of course. And she thanks Robyn and CK for Believing. That's all anyone could ask.

"And I Believe in you," Eleanor says. "Anything you want -- anything you wish. If you need some moondust to help you along the way, I do have my stash, you know. There's nothing like moondust for the magic, and we each need magic -- even if just once in a while."
"E" and Geoff I have my laptop back, it like have an "Easy" button.
Love the Ginsberg quote, no party line here just thinking for the beauty of thinking.
"We don't even know what the party line is -- except for the party line you can call on the telephone," Eleanor says.
She adds: "There is beauty in thinking, isn't there? In the thoughts?"
