To Reach The Green Light At The End Of The Pier

FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES: "We are saving ourselves through the words," says Eleanor, the leading lady of a novel-in-progress. This exploration into the creative process -- which includes plenty of distractions/tangents /thoughts & rants by Eleanor, her Biographer, and selected guest artists -- will continue until Eleanor is certain her story is "right." (But we dare not jump ahead of ourselves.)

There will be the occasional typo (as Eleanor points out), and much of this is intended to be "original draft" -- what comes out of our mouths (heads) first, and then set down in that order. Not all of it will be included in the novel, but all of it is happening in real time.

The worlds are tricksy...the nice thing is, we most often find another world that SOMEONE else has lost. Peace and joy and moondust tea.

"Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast." - Isaac Asimov

Thanks, Dale, for your words, and those of Asimov. Both lead us to the next stop along the journey, and to greater good. (Finding "another world that someone else has lost" is a fascinating concept!)

Also...because we are Sisyphus and there is lucidity and pure reason in the absurdity of the world.

The absurdity certainly makes life more interesting, Alex -- whether there's reason behind it or not. Thanks for stopping by!

ELEANOR says: "Please turn the page. Keep reading."

For more of Eleanor and her Biographer -- as well as the work of our many guest artists -- check out the older postings. "Everything is part of the process, and the process is the journey," Eleanor says.
